Finally another BB face cream review, yey! This review is part of my backlogs which I just can’t find enough free time to edit and publish for the past months until today. I am slowly working on most of my draft mode product reviews and I will publish before this month ends (feeling hopeful).
As most of my readers now, I love to use bb creams more than my foundations since bb creams are very lightweight on my skin, very perfect for daily use.
One of the bb creams I own is this BB face cream I got from Daiso. This is the cheapest BB cream I’ve ever known. I have been using this BB Cream for quite awhile now.
that is available in our local market. Based on the packaging, it is made in Korea. As far as I can remember, there are three shades available in the branch where I bought it. I got the closest shade to my skintone, Natural Beige.
What it claims (based on the packaging):
- Essence, day time care, makeup base, foundation combine in one multi-function cream
- Aloe vera extract is combined, it gives moisture to the skin
- It helps to keep your skin moist with Shea Butter components, it is applied smoothly and moistly
How to use (based on the packaging):
- After applying the lotion, use a light touch with fingertips on forehead, cheek, nose and chin when applying BB cream
- Use small amount of cream.
What I like:
Perfect shade for me!
Light on skin.
No white cast on photos.
Instantly lightens up face.
A little goes a long way even with it’s light texture.
Not sticky at initial application.
Sets to a beautiful semi-matte finish.
Budget-friendly.
With aloe-vera, adds to skin benefits.
Squeezable tube, hygienic!
What I don’t like:
Covers up almost nothing.
My thoughts:
Do shake well before you open the tube because it might come out too runny or liquidy if you did not. I like the squeeze-type tube packaging because I can easily control how much of the product to get. The texture is creamy and easy to spread on face. It sets a bit fast so I suggest faster application. It is not sticky at all, it feels more like a tinted moisturizer. As expected, it feels very light on skin, you don’t feel you have a BB cream on. It has a very minimal scent that disappears afterwards. Don’t expect that this BB cream can cover up all the imperfections you have as it only does have a light coverage. Two layers can only cover up slight redness on face. It is very light like a tinted moisturizer that you don’t worry too much that this clogs pores.
Also, I highly recommend to wear sunblock prior applying this BB face cream since it doesn’t have protection from UV rays of the sun.
I have tried wearing this for more than five times just to road test on how this BB face cream works on my combination type skin. After three hours, I feel the oil builds up on my face. After five hours, my face still looks fresh after all the oiling up. I expect the effect of the bb cream will fade after five hours because I already feel my face is sticky but when I looked in the mirror, I can still see it there. This bb cream deserves a credit for staying up to five hours, I never expect that for a bb cream tagged at a cheap price. I doubt this bb cream will perform well to those with overly active glands without blotting every now and then.
